Course outline

1. 1

   Day 1

   Theory — Repair Fundamentals

   Get to know motherboard components, repair tools and electronic equipment; learn safe operation of heat guns, soldering stations and hot-air rework stations; understand how to preserve battery life and apply basic ESD protection.

2. 2

   Day 2

   Hands-on — Capacitor Removal & Reflow

   Practice identifying, removing and refitting motherboard capacitors. Master temperature control and solder-joint inspection.

3. 3

   Day 3

   Hands-on — Motherboard IC Removal (Underfill-Free)

   Removal and reflow practice for underfill-free ICs, covering flux usage and heat-gun temperature profiling.

4. 4

   Day 4

   Hands-on — Jumper Wiring (Motherboard)

   Motherboard jumper-wire techniques: trace diagnosis, route planning, fixation and insulation.

5. 5

   Day 5

   Hands-on — Flex Cable Soldering (Soldering Iron)

   Flex-cable soldering practice that requires a soldering iron, with emphasis on flat solder joints and reliable electrical continuity.

6. 6

   Day 5

   Hands-on — Charging Port Replacement

   Hands-on removal and resoldering of charging ports on iPhone and Android motherboards.

7. 7

   Day 6

   Hands-on — Motherboard Connector Removal

   Removal and reflow practice for assorted motherboard connectors, focusing on heat management and protection of neighboring components.

8. 8

   Day 6

   Final Exam

   Combined theory and hands-on assessment. Passing this exam unlocks the higher-level board repair curriculum.
